Jonathan Brigg is an award-winning composer whose work defies easy categorisation. His music is heavily influenced by jazz, postminimalism and American ultramodernism. He works regularly with leading ensembles such as Britten Sinfonia, and has collaborated with some of the UK's leading musicians and composers.
One of 5 finalists in the V International Uuno Klami Composition Competition, his new work, reflektor, will be heard twice in Finland in November 2025.
Jonathan recently arranged and adapted the piano score for Streetwise Opera's Re:Discover project, which went on to win a 2025 RPS Award.
In 2026 he was nominated for an Arts Foundation Futures Award 2026 for Music.
